Who We Are and What We Do
Bringing together the Woodseats community for the regeneration of the Woodseats playground in Graves Park.
Friends of woodseats playground: graves park work closely together with woodseats community to raise money through local and national fundraising, grants and trusts to regenerate woodseats playground. we aim to make the playground more inclusive and appealing to families and children of all ages by adding new play equipment and landscaping the surrounding area.

Our progress so far
Thanks to your donations we have managed to improve the park in these ways
March 2024
New play equipment and landscaped areas installed with the support of Sheffield City Council and funding from Veolia Environmental Trust (match funding raised from donations from Local People and from the Co-op Local Community Fund
November 2022
We opened a new climbing frame for older children, provided with funding from Veolia Environmental Trust, with match funding from West Riding Masonic Charities Limited
September 2020
New seating providing, using funding raised from Woodseats businesses
August 2020
New landscaping areas to remove areas of tarmac. This included planting of trees donated by Woodland Trust
August 2019
New play equipment island installed with spinning dish and rocking board supported by funding from the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government now known as Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities
February 2019
New young children's climbing frame installed with funding from South Yorkshire's Community Foundation and the JG Graves Charitable Trust. A new basket swing was also installed by Sheffield City Council Playgrounds team and we planted the willow tunnel with the help of Sheffield City Council Rangers team.
October 2017
We held our first Dig Day to clear the overgrowth from the planted bed
